Magpie is proprietary freeware from Ayers Electronics Inc. The components listed here are not covered by that license. Each is the property of its own authors and is used under its own terms.
Third-party copyright lines below are reproduced with the years their own licenses carry. Magpie's own copyright line never carries a year; that rule applies to Ayers Electronics Inc only.

External executables, invoked across a process boundary
These are independent programs. Magpie starts them as child processes. They are not linked into Magpie and their licenses do not extend to it.

Optional assistant, downloaded only on explicit consent
The optional assistant ships nothing with Magpie. When the server administrator enables it, Magpie downloads these into the server's data directory and runs them across a process boundary. Disable the feature and delete the folder and they are gone.
- llama.cpp llama-server, MIT License. Prebuilt CPU release binaries from github.com/ggml-org/llama.cpp, with the SHA-256 recorded at install.
- Qwen2.5-3B-Instruct (GGUF), Qwen Research License. Fetched from the publisher by the user. Magpie does not redistribute it.
- Qwen2.5-1.5B-Instruct (GGUF), Apache License 2.0.
Local caption generation
The server bundles whisper.cpp 1.9.4, Copyright (c) 2023-2026 The ggml authors, under the MIT License. The complete license ships beside the executable in whisper/LICENSE.txt.
Local captions are optional and off until enabled. The selected multilingual Whisper model is downloaded from Hugging Face only when the administrator requests installation. Whisper model weights are Copyright (c) 2022 OpenAI, under the MIT License. The model version, size and SHA-256 are shown before installation and verified after download.
Caption generation processes audio on the server. Media and generated text are not sent to OpenAI, Hugging Face or another transcription service. Existing media and subtitle files are retained.

SharpCompress reads a bzip2 archive when the optional assistant unpacks a download.
The Model Context Protocol packages (ModelContextProtocol, its Core and AspNetCore) carry the copyright line "Model Context Protocol a Series of LF Projects, LLC." They back the server's AI-tools (MCP) endpoint. The Apache License 2.0 text is at apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0, and Magpie modifies none of these packages. Microsoft.Extensions.AI.Abstractions is their dependency.
The server draws its slates, pictures and pairing code with SkiaSharp. Its native assets embed third-party code under its own permissive licenses, listed with the client packages below.
Svg.Skia renders an owner-added SVG profile icon onto the server's own PNG canvas at upload, so the clients never receive an SVG. It brings in Svg.Model, ShimSkiaSharp, Svg.Custom and ExCSS. All are managed assemblies; none carries a native asset.

Clients: bundled .NET libraries
The Uno client is built on Uno.Sdk 6.5.36. Its packages are implicit: the SDK adds them from the features the project declares. The 130 packages below are the resolved closure of the Android head, which ships to Google Play, the Amazon Appstore, Fire TV, and Android TV. The other heads resolve the same families at the same versions and differ only in platform-specific native-asset and runtime packages.

hls.js and the other viewer web client player libraries
The browser client vendors its player libraries as one built module the server serves to browsers (player.bundle.js). They run in the viewer's browser, not in Magpie's process. The full license texts and upstream copyright notices are checked in beside the bundle and ship with the software.

Permanent Marker, landing-page typeface

Concert One, the wordmark's typeface
Concert One sets the Magpie wordmark on the watch page and ships in every client build that embeds that page, the Roku package, and the Uno shell's networks card. The channel-art display faces
148 display typefaces a channel's art can be set in. Each is an embedded resource of the server assembly and ships inside the server binary. Each was taken from its own upstream source, the google/fonts repository or the family's own repository, together with its own licence file, committed and embedded unmodified alongside the face. 138 are licensed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1; 10 are licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0: Chewy, Luckiest Guy, Mountains of Christmas, Permanent Marker, Rock Salt, Satisfy, Schoolbell, Smokum, Special Elite, Yellowtail. DejaVu Sans, the standby cards' typeface
The server embeds the DejaVu Sans faces and sets type with them at runtime for the standby cards and the plain channel-art face. DejaVu changes are in the public domain; the underlying Bitstream Vera fonts are licensed under the Bitstream Vera Fonts Copyright. Copyright (c) 2003 by Bitstream, Inc. All Rights Reserved. Mozilla FxEmoji, network badge and library icons
Seven Network badge icons (News, Movies, Series And Comedy, Science And Nature, Lifestyle, Music, and Around The World) and seven library icons in the administration console (Movies, Shows, Mixed, Music, Music Videos, Audiobooks, and Podcasts) are FxEmoji's visual design, each the upstream file under its own name, unmodified. Licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). The license's attribution clause: "You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made." No changes were made. Full license text is checked in beside the icons and ships with the software.
Bird theme piano music
Lovebird, Oriole, Goldfinch, Kingfisher and Cardinal are original piano compositions and arrangements made for Magpie. Copyright Ayers Electronics Inc. The TV Guide and still standby cards use the listener's selected bird theme.
Piano recordings use Noct-Salamander Grand Piano 6.1a by Chisato Yamauchi, based on Salamander Grand Piano samples by Alexander Holm, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/). Instrument source: https://www.ir.isas.jaxa.jp/~cyamauch/AccurateSalamander/. The sampled piano was rendered as new performances, level-adjusted and arranged into loops. Magpie distributes the recordings, not the soundbank. No endorsement by the instrument authors is implied.
The launch chime, launch.wav beside the bird music, is an original arrangement made for Magpie on the same piano and under the same licence, quoted in launch.LICENSE.txt beside it. Five of the instrument samples were retuned by at most one semitone, mixed into a rising arpeggio, levelled and faded by a committed generator.
TMDB's mark, the provider credit
About shows TMDB's own logo, unmodified, beside the notice TMDB's API terms of use require: This product uses TMDB and the TMDB APIs but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB. The Roku channel carries a picture rasterized whole from the same logo; nothing is recoloured or redrawn. The mark is TMDB's trademark, used as attribution under those terms; it is not open source and is not covered by Magpie's license.
Tray: vendored Go modules
The tray is original Magpie code. It is built with Ayers Electronics' own platform module, which is not third party, with the three modules below, and with the Go standard library and runtime (BSD-3-Clause, Copyright The Go Authors). The modules are linked into the tray binary, and Magpie modifies none of them.

Original Magpie code
The QR encoder used for TV pairing, the Roku client, the macOS tray, and the admin console and device-activation web pages are original Magpie code. They are not derived from, adapted from, or copied out of any third-party project, and they carry no third-party license obligation.
Not distributed
Design-time tooling (Entity Framework Core Design and its Roslyn dependency tree), development-time Uno components, and the test-only packages (xunit, xunit.runner.visualstudio, Microsoft.NET.Test.Sdk, coverlet.collector, Microsoft.AspNetCore.Mvc.Testing) never reach a user. They are recorded in the shipped THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md so a future audit does not have to rediscover why they are absent here.
